The Friends World Committee for Consultation has launched a consultation on its proposed direction following next year’s World Plenary Meeting in South Africa.
Rooted in a faith based theory of change, inspired by Matthew 13:1–23, the document Towards our future, names six potential priorities as follows:
1. Taking action on the outcomes of the World Plenary Meeting
2. Young Adult Friend Leadership and spiritual nurture
3. Visibility
4. Addressing the digital divide
5. Nurturing online Quaker worship
6. An angel of merging
The paper will now go to each FWCC Section, to be considered at their Section Meetings or executives, beginning with Asia West Pacific on 19 October in Hong Kong.
