Join this webinar to learn how faith advocacy can help ensure the UN climate talks COP26 are successful. The webinar will address the following themes:
- The science – where we are today including a summary of the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) based on the recent NDC report from the UNFCCC which highlights the gap between what is pledged and what is needed to stay under 1.5/2 degrees
- Climate witness – what are the consequences for those most vulnerable to climate change? Voices from the most vulnerable regions.
- Building trust and advocating for a just transition – what does advocacy for COP26 mean and what is the message to decision makers from a faith based perspective?
The Interfaith Liaison Committee to the UNFCCC is a worldwide network of religious and faith-based organisations. We share that we are all interested in contributing to the climate discussions from the value-based and ethical perspectives of our different traditions. The group supports the negotiations and encourages the negotiators and our representatives to take the courageous and ambitious steps needed to create a resilient future.
